Now that we have the holidays and huge fundraisers that come along with them behind us we can get on with some student projects!
This is one of my favorite projects of the year. There is history, technology, and cooking all wrapped up into one.
I have attached the assignment, check it out and if you are Kelsie you should definitely check it out because you were absent yesterday!!

It's Pie Time
If anyone is interested, please check out our pie sale. The deadline for orders is Monday the 15th. They can be picked up on Friday the 19th in my classroom or delivered (depending on the distance) on Friday evening or Saturday morning on 11/20. At the bottom of this post you can find a link to the order form. It is my first time using googledocs though so it comes up looking pretty different. All of the information is there however so I am not going to mess with it!
Thanks.

This is going to be one busy week...
Not a good week to miss school!
As of today, we have about 120 cupcakes ordered, all of which need to have some fabulous Halloween decoration on them. This will be fun though. We have the cupcakes and icings down, it's the decorations that we get to be creative with. McKenna will be making her fondant from scratch which tastes much better than the store bought stuff and then Taylor and Sammy will be making little figures for the tops of all of the cupcakes. We'll have some monsters, some pumpkins, ghosts and so on. I can't wait to see the finished products!
CAIII also has a catering on Wednesday afternoon. This will be our first official off site catering job. Those are always a blast.
We are taking this Friday off from staff lunches due to all of the cupcakes that we are making.
Again, let us know if you are interested! They will be great and are just $1.25 per cupcake. Not bad for a tasty little work of art.
We will be sure to post a lot of pictures on our various blogs so check them out!

Mrs. Chatfield's top 5 favorite questions
1. Do you have any food I can eat?
2. Are we doing anything important today?
3. Do I have to write this down?
4. What are we cookin' today?
5. Can I make some bacon and eggs real quick?

Baby Chatfield is out sick!!
Hey there!
I am at home with the little guy.
Monday we are just continuing with perfecting our doughs! It's monkey bread and Naan this week. Wish I was there to try the monkey bread...I'm a big fan.
This week's lunch and dinner is going to be Chicken Tikka Masala OR Chickpea and Potato Masala with Basmati rice, home made garlic naan and chai cupcakes. Let us know if you are interested!

Finshed Product from Friday's staff lunch...
The lunch (which I failed to take a picture of) was great. The cous cous was so good and the chicken and sauce both had so much flavor! Then to top it off with this great dessert...it was a good Friday. We had teachers coming in to class asking to buy any extra cupcakes but we were all out! So funny.
This week they want us to sell paw print cupcakes school wide for Friday. Hoepfully we will sell a ton!
